After I wrote about SSD storage drives must say some words about new generation LCD monitors that are back lighted by LED instead of CCFL. It’s really important to know the difference between these two kinds.
Apple calls it LED-backlit, Dell simply WLED. Not sure for what reason, but the words stands for the same meaning – backlighting.

Decided to start a series of some IT related articles that will be based on new tendencies and what’s new should be noticed in the market. Main focus will be on laptops probably and everything what may be connected to them.
SSD is acronym that stands for “solid state drive”. Comparing SSD vs HDD is comparing what is inside. Externally it may be conducted as the same stuff. This is good news meaning that SSD you may easily install to your laptop instead of existing HDD. Is it worth of replacement and … what SSD is?

My latitude D620 got new LCD panel – guess what does that mean
Yes it was changed by warranty service. This is really good – to have long warranty. So after 2 years usage I got new mother board, speaker, AC adapter and LCD monitor panel. Could say quite much!

At last my laptop came back home. They changed main system board (mother board), AC adapter and sound dynamic.
ok… was out more than a month. I noticed wordpress new version 2.6 came out so probably soon will make the upgrade.
My blog almost don’t have visitors at all, but this is normal – there are only few posts that may be found in Google.

I’m continuing blog about how to start wordpress blogging. This is not my blog primary objective, but as I launch it using wordpress – why not blog it and share some things with you.
So next thing that I hurry to step in is setup site statistics. My choice is free Google service Analytics (http://www.google.com/analytics/). The service is just amazing – no need anything better at all and it is absolutely free. So I’m getting here script and going there:

this is the next thing that I hurry to setup – robots.txt. I noticed, that by default wordpress robots.txt redirects to robots.txt/ and the output looks like:
User-agent: *
Disallow:
that means everything is allowed to crawl and index for search engines.
first thing – not sure why it is redirecting to robots.txt/ (the file doesn’t exists – seems wordpress it generates it dynamically) and the second thing – I want some restrictions here.
